In late February of each year, we hold our annual Deans and Directors’ meeting. This meeting is a significant professional development opportunity for the leaders of our institutional membership to network and dialogue about continuing education issues and trends. To keep our conversations intimate and relevant, we invite the institutional membership holder (unit leader) to attend this meeting. The unit leader may invite the associate dean or director from within their unit, or the university may select a second unit leader to participate (fee required).

Personal Information
Most of the personal information we use is collected on this Website when you voluntarily submit it for the purpose of registering for the Website, updating your user profile, or completing an event registration form. Information collected includes, but is not limited to:
- The information that you provide to subscribe to website services (including institutional user names and passwords, individual usernames and passwords);
- Any other contact information you or your institution shares with CAUCE (e.g. name, job title, organization, department, email address, physical address, telephone numbers, URL)
- Professional information, such as your employment background and related information

Using your information
CAUCE collects your personal information to provide you with the services you request and those which we believe will optimize your membership and/or use of the CAUCE website. We use the information you provide about yourself when using our online services (e.g. meeting registrations, etc.) to complete the specific service transaction. For meeting registrations, a list of attendee names, titles, institutions, and addresses is made available to meeting attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors; no other information is shared with outside parties except to the extent necessary to conduct relevant business or as required by law
CAUCE may use the information it collects to:
- administer the Website;
- personalize the Website for you;
- enable your access to and use of any Website services;
- publish information about you and/or your institution on the password-protected, members' only section of the Website;
- send you CAUCE approved organizational and professional interest communications including e-marketing and surveys
Disclosure of Information
CAUCE may share your information with third parties on a confidential basis to enable a third party to perform specific tasks, such as maintaining a membership database or sending email alerts or newsletters on our behalf. These third-party providers will be obligated to protect the privacy of our members and subscribers. Information is accessible only to CAUCE Secretariat staff and, when deemed necessary we may share certain information with volunteer executives and committees, and members so that the activities can be carrying out.
In addition to the disclosures necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere, CAUCE may disclose your contact information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and to establish, exercise or defend its legal rights.
Securing your data
CAUCE will take reasonable technical and administrative precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your contact information. CAUCE will store all the contact information you provide on secure servers within Canada. CAUCE will notify you in the event of a breach of our security safeguards that could lead to a real risk of significant harm.
Opting out of email lists
People who subscribe to email lists via the Website will receive periodic updates from CAUCE by email. You may opt-out of receiving future information via email at any time by updating your email notification preferences in the member portal.
If you opt-out, we may still send you emails about your membership and membership status, your accounts, information about and invitations to conferences or events, and our prior business dealings with you.
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, and CASL, all email sent from CAUCE from our organization will clearly state who the email is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all email messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you receive no further email communications from us.
How long do we keep your personal information?
We will retain your personal information only as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this statement, or as is required by applicable law, and then we will delete it.

Unless otherwise specified, event registration refunds are subject to an administrative fee. Please see the event page for details. Each event will have a date beyond which refunds will not be honored.
By completing purchases with us you agree to have your Credit card and personal information securely stored as part of a payment profile within a 3rd party payment gateway. This securely stored payment profile will be used, when authorized, for automated recurring payments and will allow for easier and faster checkouts. No credit card information is stored within Member365 and all payment data is accessed by way of a secure API. Under no circumstances do we share credit card or personal details.
Who can access the CAUCE Member365 portal?
Please note that the CAUCE Member365 portal is to be used by the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE) members only. Certain workspaces within the member portal will be tailored for and restricted based on the membership type's needs; CAUCE Secretariat staff will determine and approve user access to these areas. The content displayed in the member portal will automatically vary based on the user's membership type.
What can be posted?
To ensure all CAUCE Member365 portal interactions are safe and friendly, CAUCE Secretariat staff will oversee the member portal activity and review, edit, and/or delete inappropriate user-submitted content. Inappropriate content includes, but is not limited to, abusive or offensive language, spam, malicious files, or any disrespectful contact. To help provide a productive environment, please report any offensive or suspicious activity to Secretariat staff. Please note that not all user-submitted content is representative of CAUCE, nor does it necessarily represent the views of CAUCE, its staff, or members.
